Dr. Carlee Byrd

3rd-5th LIteracy 

I am so delighted to join the faculty of Alice Carlson Applied Learning Center for my 20th year of teaching in FWISD.  In my previous positions, I taught 4^th and 5th-grade literacy, ESL, and Special Education. I received my undergrad degree from TCU and my Master's and Doctorate from Tarleton. 

My passion is helping students discover their academic superpowers and to help accelerate and build confidence in all types of learners. My mission is fueled by the belief that every child can learn. I hope to lend my experience and love of learning to build curious and critical thinking in both children and adults.  

I can't wait to watch our students grow in ability and courage this year! Let me know what I can do to help make this year the best one yet!
